Love the different shapes and colors.

DIY EXFOLIATING COFFEE SUGAR SCRUB

I recently discovered that coffee grounds can be really good for your skin and i decided to try a DIY exfoliating coffee scrub, enjoying that’s it’s 100% natural.

You can find different scrub recipes and i kept it really simple using sugar and coconut oil.Feel free to add any scents or oil you may like better.
Coffee scrub is great for exfoliating, it helps for reduction of cellulite and improved circulation.
Coconut oil will leave your skin feeling super soft.

What You Need:

1 Tablespoon of Coffee Grounds (I choose used coffee grounds)

1 Tablespoon of Raw Sugar (I used Cane Sugar)

1 Tablespoon of Coconut Oil (I heat it for few seconds if it’s too solid)

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well.

Scrub your body and face and rinse thoroughly.

The recipe is enough for me to use for one time all body and face.

You can use this scrub once or twice a week.

Enjoy!

ARTSHACK CERAMICS

Little selection of things made at Artshack Brooklyn

ARTSHACK BROOKLYN - CERAMICS

During the past few months I have been obsessed with learning how to do ceramics and I took a 6 weeks workshop at Artshack Brooklyn in Bedstuy.

I naively came with all these ideas in mind and inspiration images, without a second thought It would be so hard to realize ...

The class was supposed to be a mix of wheel and hanbuilding learning, but we only focused on the wheel basically.
The bonus is that in the workshops there is a free access to open studio time where it is possible to come for unlimited time and use the products and tools of the studio. There is also a possibility to take a monthly subscription to come to practice with his own equipment.

I regret i didn't come in between classes more often, the practice being essential to master the wheel well. I am far from the expected results but I managed to create a few things!

I wish I could take some more classes so i could improve myself.

Feel free to go to their studio to have a look or ask for more info.

Artshack is located at 1131 Bedford Ave.

AGNES MARTIN - GUGGENHEIM

Guggenheim museum is now hosting minimalist artist Agnes Martin.

I didn’t know her work well, and could only remember her grid and stripes work.

I totally loved the exhibition and her attention to minimalist through her repetitive work of stripes and grid, playing with textures, lines and shapes.

The exhibition shows her work through different years and you can see how her art evolved. I enjoyed looking at the blank paintings and more geometrical ones.

I really encourage to see her work in person to admire in person all the little details my pictures wouldn’t show.

Definitely got inspired by the tonal tones and palettes for my own projects.

Until January 11, 2017.
